About The Event
Worlds Apart tells the story of Mabel and Nora, two sisters who are separated in 1970 when Mabel moves to Australia as she doesn't want to live in Londonderry anymore due to the emerging troubles and the impact of sustained sectarian violence on her life. What follows is the correspondence between the sisters over the next 50 years, by letter, telephone and eventually zoom. This one hour production looks at the issue of innocent families torn apart as Northern Ireland spiralled into a generation of terror and violence. Starring Laura Douglas, Karen Hawthorne and Alison McCalister, "Worlds Apart" is directed by Codie Morrison for Blue Eagle Productions. The play is written by Jonathan Burgess.
