About The Event
Ebrington has a long history and association with the military. The first recorded military use of the site was during the Siege of Londonderry 1688-89 when the land was used by Jacobite forces to bombard the walled city with cannon and mortar fire. This tour conducted by local historian Frank Carey will explore the camps architecture, design, history and its significance to the city.
