Pons Aelius

Pons Aelius are a 6-piece instrumental, award winning band, originally formed in Newcastle Upon Tyne; named after the Roman settlement alongside Hadrians Wall.

Described as a traditional and contemporary folk band with a bluegrass feel they have made a name for themselves in the live circuit since forming in 2014.

-Dan Walsh, BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Musician of the year nominee, 2016 says of the band-

"If you get a chance to see Pons Aelius then bloody well do it because they are bloody marvellous"
