Michael McGoldrick and Tim Edey are absolute stars in the world of folk music, celebrated for their extraordinary talent and groundbreaking creativity! Michael McGoldrick, a former BBC Folk Awards Musician of the Year, is an incredibly gifted multi-instrumentalist and composer. Born in Manchester to Irish parents, he has mastered the wooden flute, low whistles, and uilleann pipes, making him a sought-after collaborator for many artists. Since 2009, Mike has been working with the legendary Mark Knopfler and has been a key member of the Transatlantic Sessions since 2007. Deeply rooted in Irish traditional music, his pioneering 2000 solo album "Fused" marked the beginning of his journey to blend a wide array of musical styles, including jazz, funk, African, and Indian rhythms. Mike's remarkable contributions to the Irish and UK folk scenes are evident through his solo projects and collaborations, such as founding the supergroup Lúnasa and his work with Capercaillie.…
