About The Event

George Paxton Findlay was born in Kilmarnock in 1864. he spent his childhood in Scotland before moving to Londonderry. During his almost 50 years in the city he wrote about many subjects in his 'ain' Scot's tongue. His enthusiasm for local people and places shines through in his poetry. Come along find out more about the man, listen to some of his poetry as well as a number of songs inspired by his works.
