About The Event

This one-act comedy play is about five different people who meet at a bus stop in Foyle Street on the day of the annual celebrations of the Relief of Londonderry. All of them have very different reasons for being up the town that day and they all have very different opinions about the celebrations. Many opinions and perceptions are laid out as well as a few misconceptions and stereotypes. Light-hearted, yet poignant the play seeks to create dialogue and debunk a few myths surrounding the 12th August celebrations, the famous siege of 1688-89 and the Apprentice Boys of Derry association.

Free Admission – Space is Limited, priority will be given to those who have registered in advance
