About The Event
Description: In June 1920 Londonderry saw a bloody spate of communal rioting and confrontation between Unionists and Nationalists. There was a full week of bloodshed which would result in the deaths of twenty civilians. Often referred to as the Derry Riots; it was more akin to outright civil war, played out in the same streets and alleyways that would become so prominent in 1969. The Riots were a culmination of tensions which had been simmering for some time. Join us as we walked through the streets and learn more about this turbulent period in our history.
