About The Event
Join us for a very special evening as we celebrate the culmination of Songs of Life – a unique community arts project that has transformed the life stories of twelve local older people into twelve original songs.
Over the past year, acclaimed local songwriters Richard Laird and Eilidh Patterson have worked closely with participants from across the community, listening to their memories, experiences, challenges and triumphs. The result is a remarkable collection of songs that are inspiring, entertaining, moving and full of heart.
From tales of world travel and adventure to stories of resilience, family, friendship and dreams fulfilled, each song offers a unique glimpse into a life well lived.
Performed live for the very first time by Richard & Eilidh, as well as being joined by guest musicians, this special concert will celebrate the participants, their stories, and the power of music to connect generations.
